World Space Week 2026 is taking place from October 4 to 10 under the theme "Rocket Revolution," centred on how falling launch costs could open space access to more countries and organisations. Google marked the occasion with a dedicated Doodle, while Adafruit got involved with the week.

The European Space Agency teamed up with Pokemon GO to offer a limited-time Astronaut Pikachu to players during the week. Katara also got involved with the event. World Space Week is the most widely observed space event each year, celebrated in more than 90 countries.
