Tybee Island is a barrier island and city in Chatham County, Georgia, United States, located about 18 miles east of Savannah. The island sits at the mouth of the Savannah River and is Georgia’s easternmost point. The city and the island share the same name, but geographically the island extends beyond the city limits.
