Disney has delayed Star Wars: Starfighter and transformed it into a 2027 TV pilot. Shawn Levy will direct the project, which is expected to follow The Mandalorian's soft links with the Star Wars universe. Jonathan Tropper wrote the script and claims that fans will embrace the series once it arrives. Disney has also paused all new Star Wars streaming shows for 12 months, making room for this standalone series.
