The NFL is phasing out the annual Pro Bowl match after 75 years. The league is scrapping the on-field contest, but top athletes will still be honored. Players will still be named as Pro Bowlers to earn their annual honors.
Player honors will remain intact despite the elimination of the event. However, alternates will no longer be acknowledged by the league. The decision concludes the 75 year history of the annual game, but top players will still receive their official Pro Bowl accolades each season.
