London police came across a young marmoset inside a laundry bag on a bus last week. Staff spotted the helpless animal on July 18. The animal was frightened and had no food while shivering. It endured the harsh ordeal. Animal advocates called it an unlawful abandonment case. Meanwhile, researchers identified a previously unknown monkey species in Congo’s Lomami National Park. The discovery emerged during a regular survey in the Congo Basin.
