It was a night to forget for Melbourne Victory, beaten 3-0 by Kingborough Lions in the Australia Cup at the Showgrounds in Hobart. Around 3,000 fans turned up and watched the A-League side lose pretty badly, that defeat sending Victory out of the cup straight away. Further south, Melbourne City had a much calmer outing beating Weston Bears 3-0. Both clubs now move on to the final 16 of the cup. Attention turns back to the league for Victory after a bruising night in Hobart.
