Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and sailors serving aboard the USS Tripoli arrived back on home soil on Wednesday. They ended tours assigned to the 5th and 7th Fleets. Meanwhile, many Marines and sailors stationed in Okinawa headed back to Japan after missions connected with the Iran situation. The Tripoli moored at its home port in Okinawa, concluding its deployment. The U.S. Marines and the Royal Australian Air Force finished joint drills at Dyess under the Trident Fury program this week.
