Ed Husic, Australia’s Industry Minister, lamented Labour’s internal workings after his plan to permit a discussion on recognising Gaza was rejected.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese allegedly described his statement at a gathering as incompetent.
Husic responded by saying he was unbothered by criticism, stating reporters: "put me in a ice box, I couldn't care less."
The dispute followed previous efforts to push the party to declare events in Gaza as genocide.
Internal papers and internal files were later filed that revealed serious rifts within Labour’s ranks over strategy and leadership.
